Clear, Binding Terms.

—Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Stoke, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms form a binding legal contract between you and Stoke App Ltd (Companies House No. 16874827), registered at 15 Thirkleby Close, SL3 7GS, United Kingdom.

—Eligibility

✓You must be 18 years of age or older to use Stoke
✓By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18
✓We may suspend any account where we have reason to believe the user is under 18
✓The service is for personal, non-commercial use only
✓Use of the service must comply with your local laws and regulations

—The Service

Stoke provides an AI-powered relationship coaching tool for married men. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you. We do not guarantee the Service will be available at any particular time or free from errors.

—Your Account

✓You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
✓You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
✓Notify us immediately at connect@stoke.chat if you suspect unauthorised access
✓One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is prohibited

We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

—Subscriptions & Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly or annual) through the Apple App Store.

✓Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
✓All billing is managed exclusively by Apple — Stoke App Ltd has no control over payment processing, refunds, or disputes
✓Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com
✓We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time — changes will be communicated before your next renewal
✓Access to Premium features continues until the end of the paid billing period following cancellation — no partial refunds for unused time
✓Free trials are non-transferable and limited to one per Apple ID

—Intellectual Property

Stoke, its name, logo, visual design, content, AI-generated outputs, and underlying technology are the exclusive property of Stoke App Ltd, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No rights, title, or interest in Stoke's intellectual property is transferred to you.

✓AI-generated suggestions and plans are owned by Stoke App Ltd — you may use them for personal purposes only
✓You may not reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute any content generated by the Service
✓You retain ownership of personal content you input (profile data, chat messages). By using the Service, you grant Stoke App Ltd a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process and store that content solely to provide the Service

—AI-Generated Content

The AI assistant in Stoke provides suggestions for inspiration and personal use only. It does not constitute professional relationship, psychological, medical, legal, or financial advice.

✓Stoke App Ltd makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or reliability of any AI-generated content
✓You are solely responsible for how you apply any suggestion or plan generated by the Service
✓Stoke App Ltd accepts no liability for any outcome resulting from acting on AI-generated content
✓The AI is powered by Anthropic's Claude — use of the assistant is also subject to Anthropic's usage policies
✓You must not use the AI to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content

—Prohibited Use

You must not:

✓Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
✓Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate any part of the Service
✓Use automated tools to access the Service (scraping, bots, etc.)
✓Share your account credentials with others
✓Upload or transmit malicious code
✓Circumvent any security or access controls
✓Use the Service to harass, harm, or abuse others

Breach of this section may result in immediate account termination without refund.

—Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stoke App Ltd's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Stoke App Ltd in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is lower.

✓Stoke App Ltd is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, emotional distress, or any other intangible losses
✓The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without any warranty of any kind, express or implied
✓We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

—Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stoke App Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

✓Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
✓Your violation of any third-party rights
✓Any content you submit through the Service

—Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, without liability to you. Reasons may include breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service.

Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. The Intellectual Property, AI Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law sections survive termination.

—Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must delete your account before the effective date.

—Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

For users based in the United States: to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive your right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Stoke App Ltd.

—Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stoke App Ltd regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
